Pod-Ceal is not a systemic product. Complete coverage of the pods with the spray solution is critical for the product to be successful. Seed varieties, planting density and general growing conditions can also impact on the application rate. If the crop canopy is very dense, then use the higher rates.

APPLICATION VOLUME: Apply in sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage of pods. GROUND- Minimum rate is typically 150-200L/ha of water. AIR- Minimum rate is typically 50 L/ha of water (further aerial application trials will be conducted in 2009).

NOTE: Pod maturity may develop rapidly once pods commence turning yellow, especially in hot weather. The pods can advance from colour change to being beyond treatment with POD-CEAL within one or two days. BE EARLY rather than late in making an application.

Crops treated with Pod-Ceal and harvested after the optimal time may suffer seed loss. The effectiveness of Pod-Ceal may be reduced as a result of adverse weather conditions that involve hail, storms, heavy rains or strong wind conditions. Pod-Ceal reduces shatter loss but does not eliminate it 100%.
